Overview

This innovative three day pre-course, which precedes the flagship UCSF Management of the Hospitalized Patient course, provides an in-depth and engaging experience for hospitalists who seek clinical skill development. Participants will join faculty at the UCSF Medical Center to participate in small-group learning in 4 domains: Critical Care Medicine, Hospital-based Neurology, Surgical Co-Management and Consultation, and Dermatology for the Hospitalist. Attendees will also receive hands-on procedural training (e.g., use of ultrasound guidance) and sessions focused on interpreting radiographic studies, building diagnostic acumen, and enhancing end-of-life communication skills. Accreditation

The University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine (UCSF) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

UCSF designates this live activity for a maximum of 21.50 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

This CME activity meets the requirements under California Assembly Bill 1195, continuing education and cultural and linguistic competency.

Family Physicians: This Live activity, UCSF Hospitalist Mini-College, with a beginning date of 10/14/2019, has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 19.50 Prescribed credit(s) by the American Academy of Family Physicians. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Maintenance of Certification: Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluationcomponent, enables the participant to earn up to 21.50 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM)Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME creditsclaimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCMEfor the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
